From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was something special. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between cozy and elegant — warm lighting, stylish décor, and a welcoming energy that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. They clearly care about the dining experience and have genuine pride in what they do. Every recommendation they made was spot-on! Now, let’s talk about the food — unbelievable. Every dish was perfectly crafted, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. You can taste the quality and freshness in every bite. The chef’s creativity truly shines through — each plate felt like a work of art. The signature dish crab cakes was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had, and the dessert? Pure perfection. The cocktails were equally impressive — balanced, innovative, and visually stunning. It’s clear this team knows what they’re doing from start to finish. Overall, this restaurant is a must-visit. Whether you’re coming for a special occasion, a date night, or just to treat yourself, it’s worth every penny. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!

Dined at Pastavino for the first time on Sunday, December 7th. We had an early reservation for a family dinner for a party of 5. We had an all around exceptional experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. Pricing was reasonable for the quality of the food. Staff was incredibly attentive and portions were perfect from appetizers to desserts. We had the the Zia Grazia for the table and it adequately served 5. I must add the olives were outstanding. We also had the Amalfi Focaccia and again, outstanding and served 5 adequately (requested cut into 5 pieces as opposed to 4). For entrees, the Mafaldine Bolognese was a show stopper! It was flavorful, rich and filling. Rigatoni E Burrata was very good with a sizable portion and perfect burrata. We also had the eggplant with a spicy vodka sauce and with marinara. Both dishes were exceptional and difficult to distinguish which was better. For dessert, we had the olive cake, again very good. If I had to really search for a critique, the only thing I could say is the coffee (Cortados) could have been hotter. Overall, this was a grand slam and we will be returning very soon.

5 stars for customer service, atmosphere and gluten free pasta quality! This is my third time visiting Pastavino and it never fails to impress. The GF pasta is house made and they only charge $2 extra for it, which is extremely reasonable considering other local restaurants charge a lot more than that for premade GF pasta. The GF pasta is just the right texture, density and flavor. The restaurant itself is beautiful and unique to the cookie cutter Italian decor you see around Staten Island. It is also adjacent to the water so has great views. The employees were extremely attentive and hospitable and although it looks and feels like an upscale restaurant, the service made you feel comfortable, relaxed and at ease. Eg. I did not finish my salad and a manager immediately came over and asked what was wrong with it (nothing was, it was just a little lemony for my preference). I guarantee if I had any complaints they would have fixed it immediately. Highly recommend I definitely plan on returning.

Great meal! We sat outside which was lovely but inside looks great too. We really loved the Parma focaccia and the chicken parm with spicy vodka sauce is delicious. Pricey but worth it in my opinion. Great service from our waiter Fernando too!

Very nice place to have a small celebration. Love the minimal but very relevant decor. Food is delicious. Finished with the olive oil cake - perfect! You will not be disappointed. Service is great.

We made last minute reservations on Easter Sunday, and thankfully they were able to accommodate us. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the hostess, taken right to our seat and our sever introduce himself. He went over the menu, offered recommendations and took our drink order. Our drinks were perfect, and the food was outrageously delicious! Cacio Pepe, has to be their best pasta dish! Our server didn’t miss a beat. He was friendly and attentive but not overly attentive. The vibe is everything. We had a fantastic holiday celebrating with Pastavino. Thank you!!

Celebrated a birthday here. The food and service here is great. It is a little expensive for the neighborhood it is in, but I think it is going to do well. The host was very accomodating as I changed the party size practically last minute. The place was fully booked and I had made a reservation six days prior. Our waiter was amazing, kind, and experienced. The drinks were great. The atmosphere was lively and although there was no live music, the restaurant was considerably loud from everyone talking. If you are italian this is no problemo. Ha. The appetizer with meats and cheeses was good. The Pasta with buratta was very good, the sauce was a little sharp but balanced well with the buratta. The pasta tasted freshly made and was a perfect al dente. The Lasagnette was ok, and tasted more like a very rich potpie with too many peas in it. Nonetheless, it was unique and deserves a try if you visit more than once. The Fra Diavlo was very good, not too spicy and the shellfish was fresh. The desserts were very good and also got a birthday candle with ordering a slice of cake that fed a few people. This place is right on the water and parking isnt that easy and you might have a little walk depending on where u find a spot. Has a full bar. Mens bathroom has one toilet. Will def be back to try a new dish soon.
